Cobweb

Born: August 1994

Cobweb is our oldest cat. We "bought" her from a Farm just outside of Witton Gilbert in County Durham. We didn't have a car back then so when I say "bought" I mean we had to pay the taxi driver to take us to the Farm. The cat was free.

Cobweb was a nightmare as a kitten. She perfected the art of running around the room without touching the floor. This was made interesting by the fact that sometimes it meant using the wall to run on.

In 1995 at Christmas she decided it would be a really good idea to eat the nylon string that made up a velvetty xmas bauble on our tree. After trying to figure out why she was vomiting bright yellow goo, and discovering yarn hanging out of her ass we took her to the vet. During surgery the vet removed over 12 yards of string from her intestines. Ever since that operation the change in cobweb has been night and day - now she's the sweetest cat you ever met.

I conclude that cats are very odd creatures indeed.
